This writing desk is simply beautiful. It's made of thick cherry slabs - sanded smooth, naturally aged, and oiled - that gleam under the light. It's a modern take on classic designs, with its simple lines, subtle details, and elegant cabriole legs.
The top of the writing desk is 1.25 inches thick, made of two wide cherry boards book matched from a single tree with a mirrored grain to form a flawless whole. The middle of the desk apron curves upward in our signature design, allowing over 28 inches of legroom to accommodate tall people. (A 5'10" tall woman can comfortably cross her legs underneath without bumping the underside of the desk.) The soft-closing drawers are solid, dovetailed poplar and measure 10 inches wide on the inside, large enough to store pens, paper, and small-to-standard size laptops. (The laptop shown in the photos is a 15-inch MacBook Pro.) Each leg is one solid piece of cherry, shaped in a charming 18th century cabriole design.
